All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or at the time of vehicle collection. This document outlines the specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, and your obligations for the rental period. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will take precedence.

Vehicle Rental Requirements
- To rent a vehicle from Bletchley Car Hire, you must be at least 21 years old, although age requirements may differ based on the vehicle type. Drivers under 25 may incur additional fees. A valid driving license suitable for the vehicle category is required, along with identification and proof of your current address. You’ll also need to provide valid payment details and a security deposit, as well as meet any other conditions outlined in the Rental Agreement.
3. Reservations and Payments
- Bookings for our car hire services can be completed via our website, by telephone, or in person at our Bletchley location. A deposit may be required to confirm your reservation, with full payment and a security deposit due upon vehicle pickup. All prices are stated in British Pounds (£) and include applicable VAT. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely through established payment providers.
4. Collection and Return Process
- At the time of vehicle collection, it is essential to examine the vehicle closely and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and signed to document its state. It is expected that the vehicle is returned in the same condition as it was rented, subject only to normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated, and charges will apply accordingly. The vehicle should also be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup; otherwise, refueling charges may be incurred. Late returns could result in additional fees, so please inform us if a delay is anticipated. You are responsible for any parking fines, traffic violations, or other charges that arise during the rental period, in addition to an administration fee.
5. Insurance and Liability Overview
- All rentals from Car Hire in Bletchley come with basic third-party insurance included. Full details regarding coverage and any excess amounts are outlined in your Rental Agreement. Options for additional insurance may be available, which can help minimize your financial responsibility. You remain liable for damage or loss up to the excess amount unless you obtain extra coverage. Any damage resulting from negligence or misuse falls under your responsibility, irrespective of your insurance status.
6. Modifications and Cancellations

7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Vehicle Uses
- Prohibited activities include using the vehicle for illegal purposes or in any manner that poses a risk, such as racing or off-roading. Transporting hazardous materials, sub-letting to unauthorized parties, or allowing unapproved drivers is not permitted. Driving under the influence of substances, exceeding weight or passenger limits, and operating outside designated geographical boundaries without permission are also unacceptable practices.
Breach of terms may lead to rental cancellation and fees.
8. Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Bletchley will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our maximum liability for any claim will not exceed the total amount you paid for the rental in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.
Governing Law in Bletchley
These Terms are regulated by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
